A good power strip is an essential part in powering your set and will have great impact on final quality of sound and picture. In reality however, standard plastic "DIY shop type" power strips are often used to power high quality audio & video systems, in combination with really good power cords. It is not difficult to imagine that the power losses and pollution of the mains by an inferior power strip cannot be compensated or restored afterwards. Not even by the best audiophile power cords available. |
There are many brands and types of audiophile power strips available too. However, all of them use common power rails for phase, neutral and ground. This means that the current of the first outlet influences the current of the next outlets and vice versa. The POWER STRIP uses star wiring for the phase, neutral and ground originating from one point and thus eliminating this problem.
Each outlet has its own supply connected with 3 x 2.5 mm² (13 AWG) KE-POWER WIRE. We deliberately avoided the use of fuses and a switch as both clearly compromise dynamics and sound quality. The high quality stainless steel housing protects against EMI/RFI and has an advanced ground circuit. |

We also used the technology of our SNS PLUG in a module: the SNS MODULE. This SNS MODULE is located directly at the input (star-point) of the POWER STRIP. SNS stands for "Shunt Noise Suppressor".
The most important advantage of a parallel noise suppressor can be found in the absence of components (i.e. inductor) connected in series with the outlets. The SNS MODULE has been connected in parallel with the input, so it cannot restrict current (and thus dynamics in your music). This means unrestricted dynamics. |
| To get the best results from the POWER STRIP the correct polarity is important. The red dot on the power plug has to be at the phase side of the (wall) outlet. This will make the phase correspond with the phase indicators at power outlets of the POWER STRIP. Due to the standardization this is not applicable in the UK and USA. |
The order of connecting components to any power strip always affects the results (sound and/or picture quality). This highly depends on the components and personal preference. Although the unique star wiring of the POWER STRIP strongly minimizes this, we advise the following order, based on extensive listening tests.
- amplifier(s) and subwoofer if present
- preamplifier
- cd-player (with a separate system, DAC before the drive)
- tuner
- video/tv
- turntable

The POWER STRIP has an IEC 320/C20 input connector for easy connection of other lengths than the standard 5 feet POWER CORD, for instance our POWER CORD PLUS.
We also provide the POWER-STRIP with skilful mountingplates to install it at the wall or floor.
Connected to the POWER STRIP your set will provide a cleaner and more spacious reproduction with a much richer and stronger bass from the start. The POWER STRIP is a fundamental improvement of all aspects of your set soundwise. It will probably last longer than most components.
Just like every audio component our POWER STRIP has to run in for at least a month to reach maximum performance.
The KE-POWER STRIP is available with outlets for the following countries: Germany, Belgium/France, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain, United States/Canada and Australia.
In addition to the standard version of the POWER STRIP we also launched a PLUS version of it. The experiences with the standard POWER STRIP led us to numerous improvements for even better results Over the standard version, it has the following additional features:

After many hours of experimenting and listening we came to the stunning conclusion that the powercord between wall-outlet and POWER STRIP had far more influence than the one going to the equipment powered. We chose the POWER CORD PLUS because it matched best in this configuration. The built-in QA MODULE creates an even more natural sound and the harmonic structure of the bass widens. The frequency response seems to extend to the lower regions. After testing, the SNS and QA MODULE is filled with our special black sand to obtain en even quiter sound, because vibrations don't get any chance of occuring. Our unique black sand contains precious metals, thus it is able to absorb EMI and RFI. Gold plated contacts at in- and outputs have been treated with DeoxIt and SilClear and ensure the best contact possible from the beginning, and they ensure this good contact stays for longer periods of time.
